Challenge

LendingOne is one of the country’s largest and fastest growing national direct private lenders for real estate investors, landlords, and developers. However, despite having clients throughout the U.S., the company was not well known in its home state of Florida, which also happens to be the firm’s most lucrative market.

When LendingOne decided to expand operations and move into a new headquarters building in Boca Raton, an opportunity was created to generate some local excitement. But there was a catch: The move was already slotted on the calendar and, to make things even more challenging, was just a few weeks away.

Solutions

In near-record time, we developed a creatively themed, multi-faceted “Moving & Milestone” event that not only celebrated LendingOne’s new headquarters, but emphasized the company’s rapid business growth and commitment to the community.

To make the proceedings as impactful as possible, we secured a wide-range of attendees, including:

  • Mayors of Boca Raton and Palm Beach County
  • Members of the city council
  • Representatives from the local Chamber of Commerce
  • Executives from the Business Development Board
  • Leaders of charitable organizations
  • Top revenue generating clients, and
  • Company employees.

Each of these audiences played a role in the day’s festivities, which featured prepared remarks, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, facility tour, indoor “hole-in-one” golf competition, catered networking lunch, and video shoot.

For added punch, we augmented the breaking news about the new facility with several media-worthy announcements, including the achievement of $1B in loans to repeat clients, membership in the chamber of commerce, and a charitable donation that complemented LendingOne’s philanthropic focus on making housing more readily available.

Results

By fully leveraging the occasion of the headquarters move, we generated standing-room-only attendance, local and national media coverage, and significant social engagement — all of which raised LendingOne’s profile and enhanced its credibility in the marketplace. Further, we kept the company’s sales momentum going, while fostering an even stronger corporate culture.
